Improving the Accuracy of the Martian Ephemeris Short-Term Prediction

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2018
The Chinese Mars exploration mission is planned to be launched in 2020, which includes an orbiter, a lander, and a rover. High precision Martian ephemeris is very important in Mars exploration, especially for the Martian orbit insertion and the Martian ...

Theory of orbital state and spin interactions in ferromagnetic titanates [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 68, 205109 (2003), 2005
A spin-orbital superexchange Hamiltonian in a Mott insulator with $t_{2g}$ orbital degeneracy is investigated. More specifically, we focus on a spin ferromagnetic state of the model and study a collective behavior of orbital angular momentum. Orbital order in the model occurs in a nontrivial way -- it is stabilized exclusively by quantum effects ...

A method for classifying orbits near asteroids [PDF]

open access: yesActa Mechanica Sinica 30(3), 316-325, 2014, 2017
A method for classifying orbits near asteroids under a polyhedral gravitational field is presented, and may serve as a valuable reference for spacecraft orbit design for asteroid exploration. The orbital dynamics near asteroids are very complex. According to the variation in orbit characteristics after being affected by gravitational perturbation ...

Orbit Prediction using Broadcast Ephemeris for GLONASS Satellite Visibility Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2009
Even though there are several Global Navigation Satellite Systems under development, only GPS and GLONASS are currently available for satellite positioning.

Fulde-Ferrell pairing instability of a Rashba spin-orbit coupled Fermi gas

open access: yes, 2013
We theoretically analyze the pairing instability of a three-dimensional ultracold atomic Fermi gas towards a Fulde-Ferrell superfluid, in the presence of Rashba spin-orbit coupling and in-plane Zeeman field. We use the standard Thouless criterion for the

A dichotomy in orbit-growth for commuting automorphisms [PDF]

open access: yesJ. London Math. Soc., 81, 715-726 (2010), 2009
We consider asymptotic orbit-counting problems for certain expansive actions by commuting automorphisms of compact groups. A dichotomy is found between systems with asymptotically more periodic orbits than the topological entropy predicts, and those for which there is no excess of periodic orbits.

Analysis and Design of the Automatic Flight Dynamics Operations For Geostationary Satellite Mission [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2009
Automation of the key flight dynamics operations for the geostationary orbit satellite mission is analyzed and designed. The automation includes satellite orbit determination, orbit prediction, event prediction, and fuel accounting.

Quantum behavior of Orbitals in Ferromagnetic Titanates: Novel Orderings and Excitations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We investigate the collective behavior of orbital angular momentum in the spin ferromagnetic state of a Mott insulator with $t_{2g}$ orbital degeneracy. The frustrated nature of the interactions leads to an infinite degeneracy of classical states. Quantum effects select four distinct orbital orderings.

Insights into the renal pathophysiology in Hermansky‐Pudlak syndrome‐1 from urinary extracellular vesicle proteomics and a new mouse model

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hermansky‐Pudlak syndrome type 1 (HPS‐1) is a rare, autosomal recessive disorder with poorly understood renal involvement. Urinary extracellular vesicle (uEV) proteomics and a novel Hps1 mouse model reveal mitochondrial abnormalities and lipid accumulation in HPS‐1 kidney proximal tubule cells. Serum ApoA1 correlates with kidney function in our patient

A review of real-time multi-GNSS precise orbit determination based on the filter method

open access: yesSatellite Navigation, 2022
Stable and reliable high-precision satellite orbit products are the prerequisites for the positioning services with high performance. In general, the positioning accuracy depends strongly on the quality of satellite orbit and clock products, especially ...
