Polaritonic Spectra of Optical Mie Voids

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
Optical Mie voids have been shown to provide a versatile platform for polaritonic physics. Analytical and numerical analysis reveal how void resonances couple to excitonic media, enabling weak‐ and strong‐coupling regimes, polariton gaps, Q‐factor enhancement, and spatial mode localization.

Bell inequalities with Orbital Angular Momentum of Light

open access: yes, 2012
We shall present a theoretical description of paraxial beams, showing the propagation modes that arise from the solution of the paraxial equation in free space. We then discuss the angular momentum carried by light beams, with its decomposition in spin and orbital angular momentum and its quantization.

Reciprocal Quantum Electrodynamics With Bound States in the Continuum

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
Quantum electrodynamics accurately describes all known forms of modern optics and photonics regarding interactions between photons and matter. In this context, bound states in the continuum with photon confinement in momentum space are envisioned to open an exciting branch called reciprocal quantum electrodynamics. It complements the cavity counterpart

The Rebirth of Elpasolites as Halide DoublePerovskites: From Theory to Potential Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
This perspective highlights the change in scientific focus after the past millennium from basic science to application. It follows the history of elpasolites, which have been redesignated as halide double perovskites. Indeed, these systems promise many optoelectronic applications.

Eu(II) Complexes as Model Systems for Spin‐Only Metal Polarizing Agents for Solid Effect DNP

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Volume 6, Issue 3, May 2026.
This study introduces Eu(II)‐[2.2.2]cryptand as a model polarizing agent for solid effect dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP). By analyzing the roles of nuclear spin (I = 5/2) and zero‐field splitting in an S = 7/2 system, the authors reproduce electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and DNP behavior across various field strengths.

Bipolar photovoltaic effect in InSe/MoO3 van der Waals heterostructure for spontaneous light polarization detection

open access: yesInfoMat, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
Bidirectional photo response in a two‐dimensional heterojunction photodetector controlled by light wavelength and polarization. Abstract Polarization is one of the most fundamental properties of light. Traditional polarization‐sensitive photodetectors, however, are limited in their ability to fully extract this information, as they translate the two ...
