Orbital textures and charge density waves in transition metal dichalcogenides

open access: yes, 2015
Low-dimensional electron systems, as realized in layered materials, often tend to spontaneously break the symmetry of the underlying nuclear lattice by forming so-called density waves; a state of matter that at present attracts enormous attention.

Theoretical Study on the Interaction of o-Tetrafluorophenylene Mercury with Ethylene and Acetylene

open access: yesMolecules, 2003
The results of a theoretical study on the interaction of o-tetrafluorophenylene mercury with ethylene and acetylene are reported. The AM1 molecular orbital semiempirical method is applied through a complete optimization procedure without any restrictions

Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

An ab initio study of the mechanism of the cycloaddition reaction forming bicyclic compounds between vinylidene (H2C=C:) and ethylene [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2011
The mechanism of the cycloaddition reaction forming a bicyclic compounds between singlet vinylidene (H2C=C:) and ethylene was investigated using the CCSD(T)//MP2/6-31G* method. From the potential energy profile, it can be predicted that this reaction has

Irreducible collineation groups with two orbits forming an oval

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A, 2007
Let \(\pi\) be a finite projective plane of odd order \(n\) admitting an irreducible collineation group \(G\) of even order that stabilizes an oval \(\Omega\) and induces two orbits on \(\Omega\), on one of which it acts primitively. Then the authors show that this orbit is a conic in a \(G\)-invariant Desarguesian subplane of order \(q\). The examples

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Curcumin Suppresses TGF-β1-Induced Myofibroblast Differentiation and Attenuates Angiogenic Activity of Orbital Fibroblasts

open access: yes, 2021
Orbital fibrosis, a hallmark of tissue remodeling in Graves’ ophthalmopathy (GO), is a chronic, progressive orbitopathy with few effective treatments. Orbital fibroblasts are effector cells, and transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) acts as a critical ...

Electronic metal-support interaction modulates Cu electronic structures for CO2 electroreduction to desired products

open access: yesNature Communications
In this work, the Cu single-atom catalysts (SACs) supported by metal-oxides (Al2O3-CuSAC, CeO2-CuSAC, and TiO2-CuSAC) are used as theoretical models to explore the correlations between electronic structures and CO2RR performances.
