Resonant Orbital Dynamics of CBERS Satellites [PDF]

open access: yesProceeding Series of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2016
Synchronous satellites have been studied in literature, due to the research of resonant orbits. In this work, CBERS - 2 (China-Brazil Earth Resource Satellite) satellite is investigated observing resonance effects which compose your orbit. Energy’s curves are observed indicating the presence of Kozai’s resonance in your orbit.

Secular Spin–Orbit Resonances of Black Hole Binaries in AGN Disks

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
The spin–orbit misalignment of stellar-mass black hole (sBH) binaries provides important constraints on the formation channels of merging sBHs. Here, we study the role of secular spin–orbit resonance in the evolution of an sBH binary component around a ...

Binary Gravitational Perturbations and Their Influence on the Habitability of Circumstellar Planets

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2021
In order to assess the habitability of planets in binary star systems, not only astrophysical considerations regarding stellar and atmospheric conditions are needed, but orbital dynamics and the architecture of the system also play an important role. Due

Neutron Resonance Spectroscopy of 103Rh from 30 eV to 2 keV

open access: yes, 1999
Neutron resonances in 103Rh have been measured for neutron energies from 30 to 2000 eV using the time-of-flight method and the (n,γ) reaction. The rhodium resonance spectroscopy is essential for the analysis of parity violation measurements recently ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Observation of low-field Fano-Feshbach resonances in ultracold gases of dysprosium

open access: yes, 2013
We report the observation of resonance-like loss in the trap population of ultracold dysprosium as a function of magnetic field, which we attribute to anisotropy-induced Fano-Feshbach resonances arising from Dy's large magnetic dipole moment and nonzero ...

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Electroproduction of lightest nucleon resonances up to Q*2=12 GeV*2 in quark models at light front

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The lightest nucleon resonances are described at light front as mixed states of the 3q cluster (“quark core”) possessing a definite value of the inner orbital momentum L = 0,1 and a hadron molecular state, N+σ or Λ+K. Helicity amplitudes of the resonance

Timescales of Chaos in the Inner Solar System: Lyapunov Spectrum and Quasi-integrals of Motion

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2023
Numerical integrations of the Solar System reveal a remarkable stability of the orbits of the inner planets over billions of years, in spite of their chaotic variations characterized by a Lyapunov time of only 5 million years and the lack of integrals of

Direct observation of t2g orbital ordering in magnetite

open access: yes, 2007
Using soft-x-ray diffraction at the site-specific resonances in the Fe L23 edge, we find clear evidence for orbital and charge ordering in magnetite below the Verwey transition.
