Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Peningkatan Efisiensi Picking Dengan Menggunakan Order Batching Statis – Earliest Due Date

open access: yes, 2021
Order Picking activity has about 55% of warehouse operational cost. Because of that, a company XYZ, management views that warehouse activities which employs human energy need to be improved and be efficient.

An Improved K-means Clustering Algorithm Based on EIQ Analysis for Order Batching of Shuttle-Based Storage/Retrieval Systems

open access: yesPromet (Zagreb)
Shuttle-based storage/retrieval systems (SBS/RS) require efficient order batching to optimise split-case picking. Original K-means clustering, which groups orders based on overlapping SKUs to minimise bin presentations, struggles with high-dimensional ...

Innovative Processing of Compacted Waste Aluminum Alloy Powders via Controlled Remelting and Solidification

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

A heuristic approach for the online order batching problem with multiple pickers

open access: yes, 2021
S0360835221004216The Online Order Batching Problem with Multiple Pickers (OOBPMP) consists of optimizing the operations related to the picking process of orders in a warehouse, when the picking policy follows an order batching strategy.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Joint Order Batching, Routing, and Picker Scheduling in Manual Order Picking Systems

open access: yes, 2017
Upcoming e-commerce markets force warehouses to handle a larger number of orders, while the time to pick orders has shortened. Order picking management, in particular organizing efficient and effective systems to retrieve items from storage locations ...

Setup‐Optimized Sequencing in Job Shops: Modeling Workstation Productivity and Lateness Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Setup‐optimized sequencing in job‐shop production creates a trade‐off between productivity improvement and schedule reliability. A WIP‐explicit modeling framework links sequencing‐induced productivity gains and lateness dispersion through the production operating curve.
