Doping change and distortion effect on double-exchange ferromagnetism

open access: yes, 2005
Doping change and distortion effect on the double-exchange ferromagnetism are studied within a simplified double-exchange model. The presence of distortion is modelled by introducing the Falicov-Kimball interaction between itinerant electrons and ...

Chiral $2\pi$-exchange NN-potentials: Two-loop contributions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We calculate in heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory the local NN-potentials generated by the two-pion exchange diagrams at two-loop order. We give explicit expressions for the mass-spectra (or imaginary parts) of the corresponding isoscalar and ...

Protein O‐glycosylation in the Bacteroidota phylum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Species of the Bacteroidota phylum exhibit a unique O‐glycosylation system. It modifies noncytoplasmic proteins on a specific amino acid motif with a shared glycan core but a species‐specific outer glycan. A locus of multiple glycosyltransferases responsible for the synthesis of the outer glycan has been identified.

Analysis of the second-order exchange self-energy of a dense electron gas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We evaluate the six-fold integral representation for the second-order exchange contribution to the self-energy of a dense three-dimensional electron gas on the Fermi surface.

Microfluidic electro‐viscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The electro‐viscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.

Different magnetic evolution behaviors driven by multiple dynamic interactions in narrow-bandwidth manganite

open access: yesResults in Physics
The research on magnetic regulation of manganese oxide systems with strongly correlated electron properties is increasingly active due to rich physical mechanisms and experimental phenomena.

The impact of exchange rate volatility on emerging market exports

open access: yesActa Commercii, 2015
Orientation: High exchange rate volatility has implications for business and policy decisions and exchange rate movements are important in debates around trade and trade policies.

Incommensurate Spiral Order from Double-Exchange Interactions. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2016
The double-exchange model describing interactions of itinerant electrons with localized spins is usually used to explain ferromagnetism in metals. We show that for a variety of crystal lattices of different dimensionalities and for a wide range of model ...

Advances in Hydrogen/Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry and the Pursuit of Challenging Biological Systems

open access: yesChemical Reviews, 2021
Solution-phase hydrogen/deuterium exchange (HDX) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS) is a widespread tool for structural analysis across academia and the biopharmaceutical industry.

Two-pion-exchange parity-violating potential and $\vec{n} p \to d \gamma$

open access: yes, 2006
We calculate the parity-violating nucleon-nucleon potential in heavy-baryon chiral perturbation theory up to the next-to-next-to-leading order. The one-pion exchange comes in the leading order and the next-to-next-to-leading order consists of two-pion ...
