On Generalized Statistical Convergence of Order of Difference Sequences

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2013
We introduce the concept of statistical convergence of order of difference sequences, and we give some relations between the set of statistical convergence of order of difference sequences and strong -summability of order .

Higher-Order Iteration Schemes for Solving Nonlinear Systems of Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
We present a three-step family of iterative methods to solve systems of nonlinear equations. This family is a generalization of the well-known fourth-order King’s family to the multidimensional case.

A two - grid, fourth order method for nonlinear fourth order boundary value problems

open access: yes, 1985
A fourth order convergent finite difference method is developed for the numerical solution of the nonlinear fourth order boundary value problem y(iv)(x) = f(x,y ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Deferred f-Statistical Convergence of Generalized Difference Sequences of Order α

open access: yesMathematics
Studies on difference sequences was introduced in the 1980s, and since then, many mathematicians have studied this kind of sequences and obtained some generalized difference sequence spaces.

Convergence rate of numerical solutions to SFDEs with jumps

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we are interested in numerical solutions of stochastic functional differential equations with jumps. Under a global Lipschitz condition, we show that the pth-moment convergence of Euler–Maruyama numerical solutions to stochastic functional

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Semilocal convergence by using recurrence relations for a fifth-order method in Banach spaces

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, a semilocal convergence result in Banach spaces of an efficient fifth-order method is analyzed. Recurrence relations are used in order to prove this convergence, and some a priori error bounds are found.

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Ball convergence for an Aitken-Newton method

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2018
We present a local convergence analysis of an eighth-order Aitken-Newton method for approximating a locally unique solution of a nonlinear equation. Earlier studies have shown convergence of these methods under hypotheses up to the eighth derivative of ...
