Entanglement asymmetry in the ordered phase of many-body systems: the Ising field theory
Global symmetries of quantum many-body systems can be spontaneously broken. Whenever this mechanism happens, the ground state is degenerate and one encounters an ordered phase.

This paper is the third in a series of three papers (so far) in which the author discusses orderings on *-fields [the others are J. Algebra 46, 207--219 (1977; Zbl 0359.12023) and Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 262, 219--243 (1980; Zbl 0482.12009)]. A field (i.e.

The Two-Dimensional Square-Lattice S=1/2 Antiferromagnet Cu(pz)$_2$(ClO$_4$)$_2$
We present an experimental study of the two-dimensional S=1/2 square-lattice antiferromagnet Cu(pz)$_2$(ClO$_4$)$_2$ (pz denotes pyrazine - $C_4H_4N_2$) using specific heat measurements, neutron diffraction and cold-neutron spectroscopy.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Collapse of the charge ordering gap of Nd_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}MnO_{3} in an applied magnetic field
We report results of tunneling studies on the charge ordering compound Nd_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}MnO_{3} in a magnetic field up to 6T and for temperature down to 25K.We show that a gap (2\Delta_{CO} \approx 0.5eV opens up in the density of state (DOS) at the ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

The science and practice of military hygiene, not so many years ago, in the field at least and on a large scale, was in a somewhat unsatisfactory state. It is true that we had ideas on the subject—many of them good ones—but some very important things were not known even so recently as the Spanish-American War. For instance, our ideas were comparatively

Vortex core order and field-driven phase coexistence in the attractive Hubbard model
Superconductivity occurs in the proximity of other competing orders in a wide variety of materials. Such competing phases may reveal themselves when superconductivity is locally suppressed by a magnetic field in the core of a vortex.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Out-of-time-ordered correlators of mean-field bosons via Bogoliubov theory [PDF]
Quantum many-body chaos concerns the scrambling of quantum information among large numbers of degrees of freedom. It rests on the prediction that out-of-time-ordered correlators (OTOCs) of the form $\langle [A(t),B]^2\rangle$ can be connected to ...
