Ordered Mesoporous Carbons as Catalyst Support for PEM Fuel Cells
Fuel Cells, 2009AbstractPreliminary results on Pt‐based electrocatalysts prepared with CMK3 mesoporous carbons are presented. The electro‐catalytic performance towards the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) was compared to that of commercial Pt/C‐Vulcan catalysts with the same Pt content.

Templating synthesis of ordered mesoporous carbon particles
Carbon, 2005This research reports the synthesis of spherical ordered mesoporous carbon particles using mesoporous silica particles as a template. The silica particles with ordered cubic and lamellar mesostructures were synthesized from an aerosol-assisted self-assembly process using block copolymer surfactants as the structural directing agent.

The effect of the furfuryl alcohol to silicas ratio have been investigated.

In the as‐sintered OMC/fused silica composites the carbon particles still exist in the form of perfectly ordered carbon nanowires.

Ordered Mesoporous Carbons as a Versatile Gas Adsorbent
2019Ordered mesoporous carbons (OMCs) are carbon materials which have abundant nanopores ranging from 2 nm to 50 nm, with most of the pores ordered and uniform-sized. The OMCs have large surface area and pore volume comparable to conventional activated carbon materials, making it a promising gas adsorbent.
