Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Ordered Sets and Complete Lattices

open access: yes, 2002
These notes deal with an interconnecting web of mathematical techniques all of which deserve a place in the armoury of the well-educated computer scientist. The objective is to present the ideas as a self-contained body of material, worthy of study in its own right, and at the same time to assist the learning of algebraic and coalgebraic methods, by ...

Complemented ordered sets [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
summary:We introduce the concept of complementary elements in ordered sets. If an ordered set $S$ is a lattice, this concept coincides with that for lattices.

The PRIMA Thesaurus for Materials Science and Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The PRIMA Thesaurus is a structured vocabulary designed to improve how materials science data is described and shared. Developed with input from multiple experts, it enables clear documentation of research workflows, data exchange, and reuse across platforms.

On modularity in lattices of congruences on ordered sets [PDF]

open access: yesCzechoslovak Mathematical Journal, 1992
The author characterizes posets such that their lattices of congruences or convex congruences are modular or \(n\)-permutable.

Modular Critical Element Recycling Platform Using a Nanoporous Additively Manufactured Gyroid

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A modular recycling platform integrates 3D‐printed nanoporous gyroid structures to enable efficient critical element recovery. This system utilizes a hierarchical architecture, combining macroscopic channels with polymerization‐induced nanoscale porosity. By systematically tuning structural wall thickness and resin formulation, the platform achieves an

Expansions and Restrictions of Structures and Theories, Their Hierarchies

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика"
The study and description of possibilities of expansions and restrictions of structures and their theories is used to obtain a structural information both in general and for various natural algebraic, geometric, ordered theories and models.

Ontology‐Aligned Structuring and Reuse of Multimodal Materials Data and Workflows Toward Automatic Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Reproduction of stacking fault energy calculations from literature with a semi‐automated large language model‐assisted extraction procedure: extraction of simulation protocol, atomistic structures, computational parameters, and reported results, ontology alignment, knowledge graph construction and, finally, recomputation forvalidation.

The variety generated by order algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Every ordered set can be considered as an algebra in a natural way. We investigate the variety generated by order algebras. We prove, among other things, that this variety is not finitely based and, although locally finite, it is not contained in any ...
