Ordered fuzzy weighted averages and ordered linguistic weighted averages
International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2010The ordered weighted average (OWA) operator has been widely used in decision-making. In many situations, however, providing crisp numbers for either the sub-criteria or the weights is problematic (there could be uncertainties about them), and it is more meaningful to provide intervals, type-1 fuzzy sets (T1 FSs), interval type-2 fuzzy sets (IT2 FSs ...

Induced ordered weighted averaging operators
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 1999We briefly describe the Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) operator and discuss a methodology for learning the associated weighting vector from observational data. We then introduce a more general type of OWA operator called the Induced Ordered Weighted Averaging (IOWA) Operator.

Least-squared ordered weighted averaging operator weights
International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2007The ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator by Yager (IEEE Trans Syst Man Cybern 1988; 18; 183–190) has received much more attention since its appearance. One key point in the OWA operator is to determine its associated weights. Among numerous methods that have appeared in the literature, we notice the maximum entropy OWA (MEOWA) weights that are ...

2015
The focus of this chapter is on OWA functions. The formal definitions and the main properties of OWA are presented. Some extensions of the OWA functions are discussed in detail. Various methods of fitting OWA functions to empirical data are presented.

SIMILARITY CLASSIFIER WITH WEIGHTED ORDERED WEIGHTED AVERAGING OPERATOR
FUZZY ECONOMIC REVIEW, 2016(ProQuest: ... denotes formulae omitted.)1.INTRODUCTIONVast amount of data produced by computers and the internet of things and the increased ability to create automated systems have led to a growing need for effective ways to monitor performance and to detect problems, monitoring and problem detection are often linked to classification as states of ...

Additive Weighted Ordered Weighted Average
NAFIPS 2007 - 2007 Annual Meeting of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society, 2007This paper presents a simplified version of Tora's Weighted Ordered Weighted Average based on restricting the Ordered Weighted Average component to a Soft Hurwicz Rule. It provides an easily understood, easily implemented tool that respects both the relative inherent importance of criteria and the degree to which tradeoffs among them are appropriate.

Ordered Novel Weighted Averages
2018The novel weighted averages (NWAs) are extensions of the linear arithmetic weighted average and are powerful tools in aggregating diverse inputs including numbers, intervals, type-1 fuzzy sets (T1 FSs), words modeled by interval type-2 fuzzy sets, or a mixture of them.

Density-induced ordered weighted averaging operators
International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2011We provide a special type of induced ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator called density-induced OWA (DIOWA) operator, which takes the density around the arguments as the inducing variables to reorder the arguments. The density around the argument, which can measure the degree of similarity between the argument and its nearest neighbors, is ...

The ordered weighted geometric averaging operators
International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2002Summary: The Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) operator was introduced by Yager. The fundamental aspect of the OWA operator is a reordering step in which the input arguments are rearranged in descending order. In this article, we propose two new classes of aggregation operators called Ordered Weighted Geometric Averaging (OWGA) operators and study some ...

Complex fuzzy ordered weighted quadratic averaging operators
Granular Computing, 2020A complex fuzzy set, the generalization of fuzzy set provides a powerful mathematical framework whose membership degrees are in the form of complex numbers in the unit disc. The averaging operators consisting of the properties of both t-norm and t-conorm are of great importance in complex fuzzy environment.
