Structural Properties and Relative Stability of (Meta)Stable Ordered, Partially-ordered and Disordered Al-Li Alloy Phases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We resolve issues that have plagued reliable prediction of relative phase stability for solid-solutions and compounds. Due to its commercially important phase diagram, we showcase Al-Li system because historically density-functional theory (DFT) results ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Fuzzy Linguistic Induced Ordered Weighted Averaging Operator and Its Application

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
With respect to multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems, in which the attribute weights take the form of real numbers, and the attribute values take the form of fuzzy linguistic scale variables, a decision analysis approach is proposed.

Characterization of the ordered weighted averaging operators [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 1995
This paper deals with the characterization of two classes of monotonic and neutral (MN) aggregation operators. The first class corresponds to (MN) aggregators which are stable for the same positive linear transformations and presents the ordered linkage property.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Quasi-arithmetic means and OWA functions in interval-valued and Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy set theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper we propose an extension of the well-known OWA functions introduced by Yager to interval-valued (IVFS) and Atanassov’s intuitionistic (AIFS) fuzzy set theory.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Identification of Eco-Friendly Transportation Mode by Employing Complex Intuitionistic Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach Based on Probability Aggregation Operators

open access: yesIEEE Access
A number of factors, including environmental effects, cost efficiency, delivery time, and capacity, must be considered when choosing an eco-friendly method of transportation.

Applications of ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators in environmental problems

open access: yesMultidisciplinary Journal for Education, Social and Technological Sciences, 2017
This paper presents an application of a prioritized weighted aggregation operator based on ordered weighted averaging (OWA) to deal with stakeholders' constructive participation in water resources projects.

SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS OF ORDERED WEIGHTED AVERAGING OPERATOR IN EARTHQUAKE VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2013
The main objective of this research is to find the extent to which the minimal variability Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) model of seismic vulnerability assessment is sensitive to variation of optimism degree. There are a variety of models proposed for
