Ordinal pattern-based change point detection
Abstract The ordinal patterns of a fixed number of consecutive values in a time series are the spatial ordering of these values. Counting how often a specific ordinal pattern occurs in a time series provides important insights into the properties of the time series.

Correlations Preceding High-Intensity Events in the Chaotic Dynamics of a Raman Fiber Laser
We study the time series of the output intensity of a Raman fiber laser with an ordinal patterns analysis in the laminar-turbulent transition. We look for signatures among consecutive events that indicate when the system changes from triggering low ...

Permutation entropy of indexed ensembles: quantifying thermalization dynamics
We introduce ‘PI-Entropy’ $\Pi(\tilde{\rho})$ (the Permutation entropy of an Indexed ensemble) to quantify mixing due to complex dynamics for an ensemble ρ of different initial states evolving under identical dynamics.

Ordinal patterns in clusters of subsequent extremes of regularly varying time series [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate temporal clusters of extremes defined as subsequent exceedances of high thresholds in a stationary time series. Two meaningful features of these clusters are the probability distribution of the cluster size and the ordinal ...

ABSTRACT Objective Intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) before thrombectomy for ischemic stroke may alter clot structure and procedural performance. We investigated how IVT relates to thrombectomy metrics across stroke etiologies. Methods We performed a time‐to‐event analysis of consecutive patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (acLVO ...

Permutation Entropy: An Ordinal Pattern-Based Resilience Indicator for Industrial Equipment
In a highly dynamic and complex environment where risks and uncertainties are inevitable, the ability of a system to quickly recover from disturbances and maintain optimal performance is crucial for ensuring operational continuity and efficiency. In this

ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.
