Arméniens en Turquie : entre déni ordinaire et pluralité des mémoires

open access: yesÉtudes Arméniennes Contemporaines, 2019
Through the study of life stories, this article highlights the difficulties faced by Armenians living in Turkey today in asserting identities and senses of belonging that deviate from the Turkish national model. It shows how individuals face the ordinary

Inferring causal relations from multivariate time series : a fast method for large-scale gene expression data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Various multivariate time series analysis techniques have been developed with the aim of inferring causal relations between time series. Previously, these techniques have proved their effectiveness on economic and neurophysiological data, which normally ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Entropy Generation on MHD Casson Nanofluid Flow over a Porous Stretching/Shrinking Surface

open access: yesEntropy, 2016
In this article, entropy generation on MHD Casson nanofluid over a porous Stretching/Shrinking surface has been investigated. The influences of nonlinear thermal radiation and chemical reaction have also taken into account. The governing Casson nanofluid

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Occupying (dis)ordinary space [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper starts by outlining some key work in ethnomethodology, which understands everyday, unnoticed social and spatial practices as “problematic accomplishments ”(Ryave and Schenkein:1974 65-274).

Efficient simulation of stochastic chemical kinetics with the Stochastic Bulirsch-Stoer extrapolation method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
BackgroundBiochemical systems with relatively low numbers of components must be simulated stochastically in order to capture their inherent noise. Although there has recently been considerable work on discrete stochastic solvers, there is still a need ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...
