IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1977Optimum locations of shunt capacitors on distribution feeders have usually been approached by theoretical simulation using computer programs. Many capacitor installations have given cause to major inductive interference in communication circuits, and therefore a new approach using inductive co-ordination principles is proposed here.
