Co-ordination principles and methods using fuse and relays

IEE Colloquium A Practical Approach to the Protection of Industrial Power Systems Networks upto 11kV, 1999
Protection objectives are, first to detect abnormal conditions, second to initiate action to isolate the faulty part of the system, and third to provide system information. The key factors are speed, discrimination, dependability, security, cost and post-fault switching, this paper being concerned with the first four of these.

A model of the generic Vopěnka principle in which the ordinals are not Mahlo

Archive for Mathematical Logic, 2018
The generic Vop nka principle, we prove, is relatively consistent with the ordinals being non-Mahlo. Similarly, the generic Vop nka scheme is relatively consistent with the ordinals being definably non-Mahlo. Indeed, the generic Vop nka scheme is relatively consistent with the existence of a $ _2$-definable class containing no regular cardinals. In

Principles of Proof and Ordinals Implicit in Given Concepts

1970
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the principles of proof and ordinals implicit in given concepts. The process of recognizing the validity of such principles (including principles for defining new concepts, that is, formally, of extending a given language) is conceived in the chapter. The informal notions of proof plausible are studied.
