Abstract BACKGROUND This study investigates the production scale‐up of exopolysaccharide (EPS) by Ensifer meliloti SEMIA 135 from shake flasks to a 5 L bench‐scale fed‐batch bioreactor. Soybean molasses was the cost‐effective nutrient source. The primary aim was to improve conditions for maximizing EPS yield and minimizing production costs.

Equine herpesvirus-1 myeloencephalopathy, an emerging threat of working equids in Ethiopia
Although equine herpesvirus myeloencephalopathy (EHM) is a sporadic and relatively uncommon manifestation of equine herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1), it has the potential for causing devastating outbreaks in horses. Up till now, there were no reported EHM outbreaks
