Organic-inorganic nanocomposites for gas sensing

Sensor elements based on composite films of poly-3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene combined with nanocrystals of porous silicon and zinc oxide were created. Increasing of nanocomposite electrical resistance due to adsorption of ammonia and ethanol molecules was registered.

The RRAMs with a polymer layer blended with NPs have advantages of simple device structure and simple fabrication process in comparison with the RRAMs with a triple-layer structure between two metal electrodes.
