Aerosol-Based Fabrication of Biocompatible Organic–Inorganic Nanocomposites

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2012
Several novel nanoparticle composites were conveniently obtained by appropriately reacting freshly produced aerosol metal nanoparticles with soluble organic components. A serial reactor consisting of a spark particle generator coupled to a collison atomizer was used to fabricate the new materials, which included nanomagnetosols (comprising iron ...

Transparent hydrophobic organic–inorganic nanocomposite films

Materials Research Bulletin, 2008
Abstract Hydrophobic, transparent organic–inorganic hybrid coatings were synthesized by the incorporation of SiO 2 nanoparticles in a matrix of 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTS) and tetramethyl orthosilicate (TMOS) followed by overlaying isobutyltrimethoxysilane (IBTMS) film for enhanced hydrophobicity. Scanning probe microscopy, ellipsometry

Organic–inorganic nanocomposites for shape memory effects

High Performance Polymers, 2011
Polyurethane (PU)–silica nanocomposites were synthesized by sol–gel reactions between the surface silanol groups of fumed silica and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) terminated PU with a broad range of silica contents (1–5%) with two different molecular weights of PU.

RRAMs with Hybrid Organic–Inorganic Nanocomposites

2016
The RRAMs with a polymer layer blended with NPs have advantages of simple device structure and simple fabrication process in comparison with the RRAMs with a triple-layer structure between two metal electrodes. The resistive switches are related to the interaction between the NPs and the organic or polymer semiconductor.

Chitosan-mediated electrosynthesis of organic–inorganic nanocomposites

Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2007
Abstract Composite films containing oxide, hydroxide and metal nanoparticles in a chitosan matrix were obtained by the combined cathodic electrodeposition method based on electrophoretic deposition of chitosan and electrosynthesis of inorganic nanoparticles.

Organic-inorganic nanocomposites for micro optical applications

2010
Control of phase separation during the sol-gel process is an essential issue in case of organic-inorganic hybrid materials for optical and microoptical applications. In order to minimize optical losses by scattering effects, phase dimensions are controlled to be in the nm range.
