Copper and zinc retention by an organically amended soil
Chemosphere, 2003This paper describes changes in retention of Cu and Zn in laboratory experiments by a sandy soil that had been amended in the field with different composted wastes. The amounts of the metals retained increased as a result of the amendments, especially after two years.

Measuring the organic amendment properties of the liquid fraction of digestate.
Waste Management, 2019The liquid fraction (LF) of digestate has usually been proposed as a substitute for mineral fertilizers because of the presence of high N content, above all in easily available form (ammonia).

Carbon Budget and Aggregate Stability of Paddy Soil under Continuous Organic Amendment
Communications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 2019Damage to soil structures and depletions of soil carbon under paddy cultivation are concerns for the sustenance of food security in Bangladesh. Long-term organic amendment in paddy field plays an important role in improving soil properties and crop ...

Molecular changes in organic matter of a compost‐amended soil
European Journal of Soil Science, 2009Summary The molecular changes of organic matter in a cultivated soil after compost amendments was followed by off‐line‐pyrolysis‐TMAH GC‐MS. Thermochemolysis of soil and compost provided a detailed molecular characterization of soil organic matter (SOM) by releasing a large amount of different molecules mainly ...

Organizing to Amend Antidiscrimination Statutes in Maryland
Journal of Gay & Lesbian Social Services, 2004SUMMARY Federal law and statutes in most of the 50 states prohibit discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodations on the basis of race, creed, sex, and national origin. Role of Organic Amendments in Sustainable Agriculture
2017Organic farming is one type of sustainable farming. It has potential, especially for farms that still rely on traditional and extensive agricultural methods. Organic farming can provide quality food without adversely affecting the soil’s health and the environment; however, a concern is whether large-scale organic farming will produce enough food for ...
