Exploiting Multitask Deep Learning to Identify Multiple Heavy Metal Contamination at Large Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A multitask deep learning framework evaluates manganese, chromium, and cobalt concentrations in European soils, achieving an average R2 of 0.75. From 2009 to 2015, soil concentrations increase significantly. Source analysis identifies anthropogenic manganese and geological chromium and cobalt origins.

Carbon‐Negative Ammonia Production from the Air

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Our work demonstrates a carbon‐negative ammonia synthesis process that not only produces NH3 from air but also directly captures the atmospheric CO2 (DAC), which achieves low‐cost DAC process with exceptional CO2 capacity and free ammonia production. This paves a new way in the development of sustainable and negative‐emission technologies.

A Population‐Based Study of Limb Body Wall Complex With Proposed Features for Prenatal Diagnosis

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Limb body wall complex (LBWC) is a lethal condition comprising major congenital anomalies. Although currently diagnosed in the early prenatal period, historical diagnostic criteria are based on detailed pathological assessments. Prenatal and postnatal findings of LBWC and their phenotypic overlap with body stalk anomaly (BSA) and recurrent ...

Comparative analysis of two newly established Cre rat lines, NeuN‐Cre and Thy1‐Cre, for neurological research

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
We generated two neuron‐specific Cre rat lines, Thy1‐Cre and NeuN‐Cre, using CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated targeted insertion. Both lines were validated for high neural specificity by crossing them with a Cre reporter rat. When bred with an ND1 conditional knockout rat, the two Cre lines produced distinct phenotypic outcomes. These rat lines have been deposited
