Systematic Targeting of GD2‐Positive Neuroblastoma Tumors With a Photooncolytic Phage Nanovector Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A tumor‐penetrating photooncolytic phage is developed for selectively targeting and delivering photosensitizers to GD2‐positive Neuroblastoma cells. Upon light activation, it precisely induces oncolysis of GD2‐positive cells with no effect on GD2‐negative ones.

Rhizosphere domestication enhances root colonization and plant growth promotion performance of Bacillus velezensis SQR9

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
The overuse of chemical fertilizers has caused severe soil degradation and environmental pollution, necessitating sustainable alternatives such as microbial fertilizers containing plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR).

Auxin‐Producing Pseudomonas Recruited by Root Flavonoids Increases Rice Rhizosheath Formation through the Bacterial Histidine Kinase Under Soil Drying

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Drought is a major cause of crop losses across agricultural regions. Rhizosheath formation enhances plant resistance to drought. Polyploids may tolerate stress more effectively through increased interactions with bacteria. However, the contributions of tetraploid rice associated microbiota to rhizosheath formation under soil drying remain unclear ...

Effect of plant-derived microbial soil legacy in a grafting system—a turn for the better

open access: yesMicrobiome
Background Plant-soil feedback arises from microbial legacies left by plants in the soil. Grafting is a common technique used to prevent yield declines in monocultures.

Comparison of fungal community in black pepper-vanilla and vanilla monoculture systems associated with vanilla Fusarium wilt disease

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2016
Long-term vanilla monocropping often results in the occurrence of vanilla Fusarium wilt disease, seriously affecting its production all over the world. In the present study, vanilla exhibited significantly less Fusarium wilt disease in the soil of a long-

Family organization and fertility limitation in Nepal [PDF]

open access: yesDemography, 1992
Abstract This paper uses the family mode of organization framework to link together hypotheses relating social change to fertility limitation. Experiences in nonfamily activities are predicted to affect fertility behavior, with the outcome depending on the social, economic, and cultural context.

Gastrula‐Premarked Posterior Enhancer Primes Posterior Tissue Development Through Cross‐Talk with TGF‐β Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A gastrula‐premarked enhancer within the first intron of Cdx2 governs posterior embryonic development via both regulating Cdx2 expression in cis and coordinating TGF‐β signaling in trans to ensure proper posterior body development. Functional rescue in gastruloids reveals a Cdx2‐independent pathway, highlighting p‐Enh‐eRNA as key epigenetic ...
