Wearable Smart Patches on Sustainable Chitosan With Reversible Microbial Growth‐Inhibitory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chitosan, a polysaccharide upcycled from biowaste, has long promised sustainable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial films and devices, an appeal reinforced by its recent regulatory recognition, with several chitosan‐based antibacterial dressings gaining clearance through the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) pathway.

Naphthalene flanked diketopyrrolopyrrole based organic semiconductors for high performance organic field effect transistors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Here, we design and synthesize three new diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) derivatives with naphthalene, possessing large-scaled p-delocalized electronic structure, as the flanking groups and both linear (n-decyl and n-dodecyl) and branched (2-hexyldecyl)alkyl ...

The Effects of Methoxylated Isoindigo on the Optical and Charge Transport Properties of the Corresponding Polymers

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, 2023
Although the effects of electron‐deficient group substitution on isoindigo on the corresponding conjugated polymers are extensively studied, the modification of isoindigo core with electron‐rich groups has not been investigated. It is envisioned that the

Semiconducting Polymers Post‐Functionalized With Ureido‐Pyrimidinone for Robust Stretchable Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable

Chemical and biochemical sensors based on silicon nanowire field-effect transistor arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Field-effect transistors (FETs) made from semiconducting nanowires have great potential as electronic biochemical sensors if they can be integrated as an array in a CMOS-compatible architecture together with microfluidic channels and interfacing ...

Bio‐Derived Polyelectrolyte Additive–Induced Interfacial Ion‐Diffusion Barriers for Nonvolatile Organic Artificial Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sodium alginate regulates interfacial ion transport and retention in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. The carboxylate‐rich polymeric network forms a dynamic interfacial ion‐diffusion barrier that facilitates ion injection during programming while suppressing ion back‐diffusion, thereby stabilizing the electrochemically doped channel state.
