Applications of QSPR and Machine Learning in Molecular Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Quantitative structureproperty relationships (QSPR) and machine learning (ML) are transforming photochemistry by enabling pre‐synthetic screening of photoactive molecules. This review outlines advances in data‐driven discovery of optical materials and functional dyes, identifies effective descriptors and models for photophysical processes, and provides

An evaluation of the effect of four herbicides on some aquatic organisms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biological and Chemical Sciences, 2014
Studies were carried out on the effect of four commonly used herbicides (2,4-D atrazine, atrazine + metolachlor and paraquat) on some aquatic organisms in simulated aquatic ecosystem at 100 ppm, 150 ppm and 200 ppm of the herbicides active ingredients (ai).

Photoredox‐Catalyzed Synthesis of a Novel Class of Fluoroalkyl Pyrazolones

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
A photoredox strategy enables regioselective synthesis of fluoroalkyl 2‐pyrazolin‐5‐ones via radical addition and cyclization. This mild, metal‐free method shows a broad substrate scope, operates in batch and flow systems, and offers a sustainable approach to fluorinated heterocycles with potential applications in medicinal chemistry.

The influence of organic and conventional production on yield and quality of carrots [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Although numerous experiments have been carried out to compare nutrient and contaminant contents of organically and conventionally produced vegetables, further research is recommended (Rembialkovska 2007, Hoefkens et al. 2009).

Cu(I)‐Catalyzed Interrupted Cycloaddition Between Azides, Ag(I)‐Acetylides, and Diorganoyl Dichalcogenides

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Unleashing the power of Ag(I)‐acetylides with LiCl/dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The LiCl/DMSO mixture have an unexplored ability to dramatically increase the solubility of Ag(I)‐acetylides regardless of their molecular structure, which is explored to achieve high chemoselectivity in the Cu(I)‐catalyzed interrupted cycloaddition between organic azides, Ag(
