Afterglow Organic Light‐Emitting Diode
Advanced Materials, 2015An afterglow organic light-emitting diode (OLED) that displays electroluminescence with long transient decay after it is turned off is demonstrated. This OLED exhibits blue and green dual emission originating from fluorescence and phosphorescence, respectively. A phosphorescence lifetime of 4.3 s is achieved.

Hybrid Organic–Inorganic Light‐Emitting Diodes
Advanced Materials, 2011AbstractThe demonstration of colour tunability and high efficiency has brought organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) into the displays and lighting market. However, high production costs due to expensive deposition techniques and the use of reactive materials still limit their market entry, highlighting the need for novel concepts.

Biologically Inspired Organic Light-Emitting Diodes
Nano Letters, 2016Many animal species employ highly conspicuous traits as courtship signals for successful mating. Fireflies utilize their bioluminescent light as visual courtship signals. In addition to efficient bioluminescent light emission, the structural components of the firefly lantern also contribute to the enhancement of conspicuous optical signaling. Recently,

Dissociation of excitons in organic light-emitting diodes
Microelectronics Journal, 2007In this paper, the dissociation of excitons in both doped and undoped organic light-emitting diodes is investigated in detail by means of electric-field-induced photoluminescence quenching. The results show that the doped devices demonstrate lower quenching than that of undoped device.

Degradation mechanisms in organic light emitting diodes
Synthetic Metals, 2000Lifetime measurement results on organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) are presented and analyzed. The drive voltage tends to increase and the luminance tends to decrease with operating time. Upon the reversal of the polarity of the external field, the voltage trends are reversed almost completely and the luminance trends undergo weak changes.
