Safer Organic Solvents

WARNING: Exposure to benzene and carbon tetrachloride, solvents used in the dental office and in the home, can and does cause death. Xylene and methylchloroform are less hazardous but possess similar solvent properties. Dentists are advised to follow tenets of safety when choosing an organic solvent.
