Impact of TiO2 nanoparticles on morphology and performance of crosslinked polyimide organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) membranes

Journal of Membrane Science, 2009
Abstract Chemically crosslinked polyimide organic–inorganic composite nanofiltration membranes suitable for application in harsh organic solvents were successfully prepared by phase inversion of dope solutions. TiO 2 nanoparticles were dispersed in these dope solutions, comprising polyimide (PI) in N , N -dimethylformamide/1,4-dioxane.

Process development using organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) for oligonucleotide synthesis

2014
Following the discovery of RNA interference (RNAi) and its exquisite control of protein expression, oligonucleotide (oligos) based drugs have been considered as the next generation of therapeutics, as they can deliver the treatment at the protein expression level.

Organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) with spiral-wound membrane elements—Highly rejected solute system

Journal of Membrane Science, 2010
Abstract The performance of organic solvent nanofiltration membranes was studied in a pilot plant apparatus using a spiral-wound (STARMEM™ 122 1 ) membrane element over extended periods, with 0–20 wt% solutions of tetraoctylammonium bromide (TOABr) in toluene. It was found that membrane transport parameters determined from flat-sheet membrane tests
