Functionalized Arylacetylene Oligomers for Organic Thin‐Film Transistors (OTFTs)

open access: closedAdvanced Materials, 2005
Oligo(arylacetylene)‐based organic thin‐film transistors (OTFTs) possess good structural order and smooth film morphologies, and exhibit field‐effect mobilities of 0.3 cm2 V–1 s–1, one of the highest field‐effect mobilities reported for an OTFT device that does not possess a self‐assembled‐layer configuration.

A Sub‐20 nm Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Dielectric for Ultralow‐Power Organic Thin‐Film Transistor (OTFT) With Enhanced Operational Stability

Small, 2022
AbstractOrganic/inorganic hybrid materials are utilized extensively as gate dielectric layers in organic thin‐film transistors (OTFTs). However, inherently low dielectric constant of organic materials and lack of a reliable deposition process for organic layers hamper the broad application of hybrid dielectric materials.

High Work Function Metal Electrodes for Performance Improvement of an Organic Thin Film Transistor (OTFT)

open access: closed2021 IEEE Madras Section Conference (MASCON), 2021
The impact of electrode work function on the performance of an organic thin film transistor (OTFT) is studied. High work function metal electrodes are a good choice for reducing the threshold voltage and reducing the injection barrier. Four different metals copper(Cu), aluminum (Al), gold (Au) and platinum (Pt) are used for gate electrode.

Functionalized benzothieno[3,2 b]thiophenes (BTTs) for high performance organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs)

open access: closedJournal of Materials Chemistry C, 2014
New benzothieno[3,2-b]thiophene (BTT) derivatives, end-functionalized with biphenyl (Bp-BTT), naphthalenyl (Np-BTT), and benzothieno[3,2-b]thiophenyl (BBTT; dimer of BTT) moieties, were synthesized and characterized for bottom-gate/top-contact organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). All three materials exhibit good environmental stability as assessed by

Prospects and Limitations of Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFTs)

open access: closed, 2012
Organic Transistor (OT) modeling, fabrication and applicability has undergone remarkable progress during last ten years. Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFTs) have received significant attention recently because of their considerable utility. They can be fabricated at lower temperature and significantly reduced cost as compared to Hydrogenated ...

Fully printed organic thin film transistors (OTFT) based flexible humidity sensors

open access: closed2013 IEEE SENSORS, 2013
A flexible fully printed organic thin film transistor (OTFT) was successfully fabricated and employed as a humidity sensor. The bottom gated OTFT, with width to length ratio (w/l) ratio of 26, was printed on a flexible poly ethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate.

Enhanced Ammonia (NH3) Sensing Response of UV-Light Treated Organic Thin-Film Transistors(OTFTs)

open access: closedECS Transactions, 2008
Pentacene thin-film transistors have great potential because of low cost, large-area circuits, and relatively high mobility. Due to active organic layers, OTFTs have suitable analyte response properties with high sensitivity in both gaseous(1) and aqueous(2) environments.
