Energy Band Alignment and Electro‐Optical Behavior of Nearly Unstrained Monolayer MoS2 Heterostructures With GaN

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Large size (∼100 µm) monolayer MoS2 grown by LPI‐CVD on n‐GaN exhibit a high n‐type doping, very low strain, and a type‐I band alignment at MoS2/GaN interface. Photocurrent measurements under illumination with photon energies from ∼2 to ∼5 eV show superior electro‐optical performances of these MoS2/n‐GaN heterojunctions as compared to Ni/n‐GaN devices ...

Calculation of thin‑film Schottky‑gate transistors based on amorphous semiconductors

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2003
A mathematical model of a thin‑film transistor with a Schottky gate based on amorphous semiconductor layers is proposed. Using the presented model, the main parameters and characteristics of a transistor based on an organic phthalocyanine film were ...

Importance of angular mismatch on anisotropic field-effect mobility in solution-processed organic thin-film transistors

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
We demonstrate the influence of angular mismatch on the field-effect mobility in solution-processed organic thin-film transistors based on the study of anisotropic organic semiconductor (OSC) layer characteristics.

Multilayered Digital Microfluidic Chip for Cell‐Based Assays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A multilayered digital microfluidic (mDMF) chip architecture is introduced to improve throughput and robustness in cell‐based assays. By multilayering electrode components and dielectric layers on glass, this design significantly reduces actuation voltage, maintains reliability, and enables expansion of the operational area with minimum current leakage.

Annealing-free high-mobility diketopyrrolopyrrole-quaterthiophene copolymer for solution-processed organic thin film transistors

open access: yes, 2011
A donor-acceptor polymer semiconductor, PDQT, comprising diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) and β-unsubstituted quaterthiophene (QT) for organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) is reported. This polymer forms ordered layer-by-layer lamellar packing with an edge-on

Minimally Invasive Delivery of Optical Nanosensors Using Injectable Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Injectable peptide hydrogels offer a minimally invasive delivery platform for single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)‐based near‐infrared fluorescent sensors, enabling real‐time measurement of drug concentrations. Encapsulated SWCNTs show a dose‐dependent fluorescence response across physiologically relevant concentrations and retain their fluorescence ...

Organic Thin Film Transistors With Multi-Finger Contacts as Voltage Amplifiers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Low-voltage p-type organic transistors with two types of multi-finger source/drain contacts were fabricated on glass and polyethylene naphthalate. They exhibited threshold voltage between -0.3 and -0.5V and field-effect mobility between 0.2 and 0.4 cm2/V&

Discrepancy in Mobility Extracted from Transfer and Output Characteristics of Organic Thin Film Transistors

open access: yes, 2013
[[abstract]]The discrepancy in mobility extracted from transfer and output characteristics of organic thin film transistors was studied. The extraction from transfer characteristics demonstrates higher mobility, compared to the extraction from output ...
