Occurrence of organochlorine pesticides in indoor dust [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Monitoring, 2011
Organochlorine pesticides are present in the environment and suspected of causing serious health effects. Diet has been the main exposure source, but indoor source release is gaining focus. Within a monitoring study of polychlorinated biphenyls of Danish buildings built during the 1960s and 1970s, we coincidently determined extreme levels of ...

Control failure risk, resistance and enzymatic activity of neurotoxic insecticides in Brazilian populations of Leucoptera coffeella (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae)

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 6, Page 5757-5766, June 2026.
Bioassays of 36 Leucoptera coffeella populations revealed resistance to neurotoxic insecticides, control failures of ≤62.9% and enzyme activity variation, with particularly high GST and low AChE levels. Abstract Background Leucoptera coffeella is a key pest of coffee crops in Brazil, causing significant damage by mining coffee leaves.

Colonization and spatiotemporal distribution of bruchid pests in lentil and faba bean fields

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 6, Page 5780-5794, June 2026.
This study of 104 fields identifies Bruchus signaticornis in lentils and B. rufimanus in faba beans as the sole grain‐damaging species. Their uniform distribution within fields and the strong effect of regulatory factors on larvae and egg survival emphasize the need for species‐specific, phenology‐based and spatially informed integrated pest management

Organochlorine Pesticides and the Dairy Industry

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1970
Abstract Production and use of organochlorine pesticides has been declining in recent years. This suggests that residue problems will decrease, but the persistence of these materials in the environment means that some residues will be encountered for many years.

Fish health, environmental contaminants, and disease management in Ghanaian aquaculture: A systematic review

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 57, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract Fish health significantly influences aquaculture productivity, sustainability, food security, and public health. Despite Ghana's rapid aquaculture expansion, the sector remains constrained by widespread disease outbreaks and environmental threats. This systematic review synthesizes existing literature (2010–2024) to comprehensively assess fish
