Neurodegenerative diseases share convergent risk architectures and pathological mechanisms, yet diverge in selective vulnerability, clinical presentation, and therapeutic responsiveness. This review integrates cross‐disease epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment, highlighting the transition from symptomatic care toward biomarker‐guided

Organochlorines and heavy metals in pregnant women from the Disko Bay area in Greenland
Recent studies from Greenland and the Canadian Arctic have shown high concentrations of heavy metals, such as mercury, and organochlorines in the blood and fatty tissue of the Inuit.

BEES AS BIOINDICATORS TO GUARANTEE HEALTHY PRODUCTS FOR THE CONSUMER
Many investigators have employed honeybees or honeybee products as tools for assessing environmental pollution in industrial areas. The pollution in northwest Italy by insecticides used in crop protection, heavy metals and radioactivity has been ...

Effects of bioinsecticide exposure route on aphids and their natural enemies in oilseed rape
Fatty acids, silicone polymers and surfactants reduced aphid numbers but caused natural enemy mortality under direct exposure, while minimal residual activity suggests potential for targeted, compatible use in integrated pest management. Abstract BACKGROUND Myzus persicae Sulzer and Brevicoryne brassicae L.

Combined exposure to bifenthrin–chlorpyrifos and bifenthrin–endosulfan mixtures induced oxidative stress, genotoxicity and nuclear abnormalities in Catla catla and Labeo rohita. Antioxidant and DNA damage biomarkers provide sensitive tools for assessing pesticide‐related ecological risks in aquatic environments. ABSTRACT Background The extensive use of

Japanese quail were exposed to combined low or high doses of deltamethrin and endosulfan by daily oral gavage for 3 weeks. Co‐exposure produced dose‐dependent hepatotoxicity and metabolic disruption, with elevated AST (aspartate aminotransferase), ALP (alkaline phosphatase), LDL, VLDL and cholesterol alongside reduced body and kidney weights.

Estrogen receptor alpha as a key target of organochlorines to promote angiogenesis [PDF]
Epidemiological studies report that exposure to pesticides like chlordecone and lindane increases risk of cancer. They may act as endocrine disruptors via the activation of estrogen receptor α (ERα).
