Study of Serum Amylase and Serum Cholinesterase in Organophosphorus Poisoning [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, 2016
Background: Poisoning due to organophosphorus compounds is most commonly seen. Earlier plasma cholinesterase level was used to assess the severity of poisoning. Presently serum amylase is being recommended as a better indicator of severity. Aims and

Magnitude of behavioral deficits varies with job-related chlorpyrifos exposure levels among Egyptian pesticide workers. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Chronic occupational exposure to organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) is consistently associated with deficits on behavioral tests when compared to unexposed comparison groups. However, a dose-response relationship has yet to be established, leading some to

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 52, December 29, 2025.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Study of Correlation of Serum Cholinesterase Level with Peradeniya Organophosphorus Poisoning Scale in Organophosphorus Poisoning

open access: yesJournal of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, 2022
Background- Organophosphorus compound poisoning is a common problem in Nepal. In rural areas, cholinesterase levels are not readily available and other clinical severity scores would be useful.

Imidazole aldoximes effective in assisting butyrylcholinesterase catalysis of organophosphate detoxification. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Intoxication by organophosphate (OP) nerve agents and pesticides should be addressed by efficient, quickly deployable countermeasures such as antidotes reactivating acetylcholinesterase or scavenging the parent OP.

Phenyl Saligenin Phosphate Induced Caspase-3 and c-Jun N-Terminal Kinase Activation in Cardiomyocyte-Like Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
At present, little is known about the effect(s) of organophosphorous compounds (OPs) on cardiomyocytes. In this study we have investigated the effects of phenyl saligenin phosphate (PSP), two organophosphorothioate insecticides (diazinon and chlorpyrifos)

Complications of organophosphorus poisoning.

open access: yesThe Professional Medical Journal, 2020
Organophosphate (OP) compounds are insecticides whose toxicity is well reported. They can virtually involve any organ and cardiac and renal complications are one of the most dreadful ones. Objectives: To determine the frequencies of acute renal failure and cardiac complication in patients with Organophosphorus poisoning.

Stabilizing Stretchable Organic Transistors Through Small‐Molecule Additive Blending for Ultra‐Sensitive Pesticide Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 47, December 18, 2025.
This study introduces a small‐molecule additive to improve the stability of stretchable organic field‐effect transistor (OFET). Furthermore, stretchable OFET‐based pesticide sensors with extended‐gate electrodes are constructed. It achieves highly sensitive and precise detection of chlorpyrifos pesticide, reaching a detection limit as low as 0.032 ppb.

Organophosphorous Pesticides in Surface Water of Iran [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This research aims to evaluate the presence and distribution of pesticides in Babolrood River of Mazandaran Province in Iran. Mean diazinon levels in surface water ranged from 77.6 to 101.6 lg L-1 with maximum level of 768.9 lg L-1 and mean malathion
