A Mössbauer study of organotellurium compounds. Part I

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1976
Mössbauer data for a wide range of organotellurium compounds are reported, including compounds of the type: R2Te, Ar2Te, Ar2Te2, R2TeX2, Ar2TeX2, and ArTeX3; where R = alkyl, Ar = aryl, and X = Cl, Br, or I. The isomer shifts and quadrupole splittings are interpreted in terms of the relative populations of the tellurium 5s and 5p orbitals.

Organotellurium(IV) Compounds Containing Symmetric Imidobis(Diphenylphosphinechalcogenide) Ligands

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2001
The following compounds [C4H8Te(Ph2(S)PNP(S)Ph2)2] (1), [C4H8Tel(Ph2(S)PNP(S)Ph2)] (2), [C8H8Tel(Ph2(S)PNP(S)Ph2)] (3), [C4H8Tel(Ph2(Se)PNP(Se)Ph2)] (4), and [(C4H8TeOTeC4H8)2(Ph2(O)PNP(O)Ph2)2][I, I3] (5) were isolated from the reaction of C4H8Tel2 or C8H8Tel2 with the appropriate M[Ph2(X)PNP(X)Ph2] (M= K or Na; X= O, S and Se) salt.

Novel group transfer cyclization reactions of organotellurium compounds

Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1995
When irradiated in the presence of hexabutylditin, readily available O-allylated and O-prop-2-ynylated 2-hydroxyalkyl aryl tellurides undergo group transfer cyclization to afford 2, 4-disubstituted tetrahydrofuran derivatives.

A 125Te Mössbauer Study of Organotellurium Compounds

1976
The investigation of tellurium compounds using the Mossbauer effect for 125Te is of some interest since such experiments allow a comparison with similar studies of compounds of tin and antimony. In the past much of the work on 125Te has been primarily concerned with the halides and oxides of tellurium.

Organotellurium compounds as efficient retarders of lipid peroxidation in methanol

Free Radical Biology and Medicine, 1995
Diaryl tellurides were found efficiently to retard azo-initiated lipid peroxidation of linoleic acid in methanol. The most efficient compounds, 31 and 39, contained one and two hydroxyl groups, respectively, in the para positions and methyl groups in all four positions ortho to tellurium.
