Recent Progress on Giant Molecules: Synthesis, Assembly, and Applications

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 3, March 2026.
Giant molecules are molecules constructed by molecular nanoparticles with precise, rigid structure, have similar structures with small molecules and a large size as macromolecules. In this review, the constituent modules of giant molecules, as well as their synthesis, self‐assembly, applications in various fields and future developing prospect are ...

Dynamics of Metal Centers Monitored by Nuclear Inelastic Scattering

open access: yes, 2005
Nuclear inelastic scattering of synchrotron radiation has been used now since 10 years as a tool for vibrational spectroscopy. This method has turned out especially useful in case of large molecules that contain a M\"ossbauer active metal center.

Comparing Protonolysis and Transmetalation Reactions: Microcalorimetric Studies of C–AuI Bonds in [AuRL] Complexes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Producción CientíficaThe protonolysis of C–Au bonds in [AuRL] organometallic complexes has been studied by calorimetry for twelve R groups. The experimental data have been combined with DFT calculations to obtain Bond Dissociation Energy values (BDE).

Functional polymer materials containing heavy group‐14 elements focusing on germanium and tin

open access: yesSmart Molecules, Volume 4, Issue 1, March 2026.
The synthesis, functions, and applications of the polymers containing heavy group 14 elements focusing on germanium and tin are outlined. Owing to their large atomic radii and weak binding energies, the polymers show unique properties: chromism, luminescence, carrier mobility, and reactivity to produce radials and higher coordinated states.

Diorganotin(iv) benzyldithiocarbamate complexes: synthesis, characterization, and thermal and cytotoxicity study

open access: yesOpen Chemistry, 2020
Ammonium benzyldithiocarbamate, represented as NH4L, was prepared and used in the complexation reaction involving three organotin(iv) salts, represented as R2SnCl2 (R = CH3, C4H9, and C6H5). The structures of the synthesized complexes [(CH3)2SnL2] (1), [(

Marine Mammals in the Anthropocene: Developing a Systematic Evidence Base of Threats to Nineteen Species

open access: yesMammal Review, Volume 56, Issue 1, March 2026.
Marine mammals are vulnerable to a variety of anthropogenic threats, yet a global systematic map of the literature for 19 species found both spatial and temporal disparity in research effort between threats and between species. There are knowledge gaps for species and threats, with effort unequal across many species' ranges.

Injectable and In Situ Hydration‐Reinforced Hybrid Bone Cements for Accelerated Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
To enable minimally invasive bone defect repair, an injectable and hydration‐reinforced bone cement (L‐PEGS/CPC) is designed through biomimetic reconstruction. The hydrophilic L‐PEGS organic phase provides abundant nucleation sites, synergizing with its porous architecture to accelerate CPC hydration, thereby endowing the composite with exceptional ...
