Effects of Thermal Pretreatment and Spontaneous Fermentation on the Quality Characteristics of Okara Flour

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
Thermal pretreatment and spontaneous fermentation were evaluated for their effects on the quality characteristics of okara flour. Fermentation duration significantly affected beany‐flavor intensity, with thermally pretreated okara fermented for 12 h showing the lowest observed intensity (2.24 ± 1.10).

Jewelled Byzantine and Medieval Reliquaries of the True Cross: Peridots and Other Gemstones in Material and Symbolic Perspective

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 57, Issue 10, Page 1727-1756, October 2026.
An interdisciplinary in situ study of jewelled reliquaries of the True Cross integrates gemmology and portable analytical techniques, revealing new evidence on the identification and symbolic role of peridots and other gemstones. ABSTRACT Jewelled crosses containing relics of the True Cross occupy a central position in the devotional, artistic and ...

Spiropyran‐Crosslinked PDMS Optical Waveguides for Pressure Sensing and Visual Cue of Localized Pressure Threshold

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Compliant optical waveguides are promising candidates for stress/strain sensing in soft robotics and personalized healthcare. While poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) offers a robust platform, enhancing sensitivity and integrating localized visual indicators for pressure threshold detection remains an active area of research.

Two‐Photon Endomicroscopy for Image‐Guided Magnetic Micro‐Agents

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 56, 8 October 2026.
Image‐guided manipulation of magnetic micro‐agents requires localized fluorescence feedback capable of resolving dynamic interactions in confined environments. This study introduces a two‐photon endomicroscopy platform for real‐time motion tracking, multicolor micro‐agent discrimination, and imaging through biological tissue.

Acyclic and Oriented Chromatic Numbers of Graphs

open access: yes, 1995
The oriented chromatic number Ø o ( ~ G) of an oriented graph ~ G = (V; A) is the minimum number of vertices in an oriented graph ~ H for which there exists a homomorphism of ~ G to ~ H.

“From Sound to Shade”: How Emotion and Music Genre Guide Crossmodal Color Selection

open access: yesJournal of Sensory Studies, Volume 41, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates music–color crossmodal correspondences, focusing on how target‐emotion condition and musical genre jointly shape people's choice of color and perceived coherence, defined here as the subjective strength of the match, or correspondence, between a musical excerpt and a chosen color.
