Colorful circuits and colorful topes in oriented matroids
We provide a short proof of a conic version of the colorful Carathéodory theorem for oriented matroids. Holmsen's extension of the colorful Carathéodory theorem to oriented matroids (Advances in Mathematics, 2016) already encompasses several generalizations of the original result, but not its conic version.

Bone‐Inspired Recyclable Composites for Damage‐Tolerant Circular Materials
Bone‐inspired architected composites are developed by combining osteon‐like reinforcements with a recyclable Elium thermoplastic matrix. The hierarchical architecture redirects cracks and promotes energy dissipation, while enabling recovery of intact, aligned, load‐bearing reinforcement units that retain their original stiffness, revealing a route ...

Resonant standing waves generate large‐area lattices of liquid‐crystal topological defects that are permanently encoded into polymer coatings by photopolymerization. The preserved director architecture produces thermally reconfigurable surface topographies while maintaining programmable optical functionality, demonstrating a scalable strategy for ...

An Improved Algorithm for the Nearly Equitable Edge-Coloring Problem [PDF]
A nearly equitable edge-coloring of a multigraph is a coloring such that edges incident to each vertex are colored equitably in number. This problem was solved in O(kn^2) time, where n and k are the numbers of the edges and the colors, respectively.

Color-Oriented Redundancy Reduction in Dataset Distillation
Dataset Distillation (DD) is designed to generate condensed representations of extensive image datasets, enhancing training efficiency. Despite recent advances, there remains considerable potential for improvement, particularly in addressing the notable redundancy within the color space of distilled images.
