Biogeography of Tick‐Borne Bhanja Virus (Bunyaviridae) in Europe

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Perspectives on Infectious Diseases, Volume 2009, Issue 1, 2009., 2009
Bhanja virus (BHAV) is pathogenic for young domestic ruminants and also for humans, causing fever and affections of the central nervous system. This generally neglected arbovirus of the family Bunyaviridae is transmitted by metastriate ticks of the genera Haemaphysalis, Dermacentor, Hyalomma, Rhipicephalus, Boophilus, and Amblyomma.

Fine structure of lipotubuloids (elaioplasts) in Ornithogalum umbellatum in the course of their development

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2015
Among the most important changes in the fine structure of lipotubuloids, observed in the course of their development cycle, belong: 1) the appearance in ageing lipotubuloids of autolytic vacuoles, in which hydrolytic enzymes are present; 2) the ...

Microtubules with different diameter, protofilament number and protofilament spacing in Ornithogalum umbellatum ovary epidermis cells.

open access: yesFolia Histochemica et Cytobiologica, 2006
Microtubules present in the epidermis of Ornithogalum umbellatum ovary in the area of lipotubuloids (i.e. aggregates of lipid bodies surrounded by microtubules) are 25-51 nm in diameter. They consist mainly of 10 and 11, sometimes 9 and 12 protofilaments.

Detecting Forest Water‐Availability and Biomass Patterns Through a Retrospective Study in a Mediterranean Region

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Latent heat (λ $\lambda $ET) fluxes are a major component of the hydrological cycle globally. According to recent models and experimental observations, during droughts, wetter regions respond by increasing λ $\lambda $ET, while drier regions exhibit decreasing trends due to vegetation water stress.
