Biogeography of Tick‐Borne Bhanja Virus (Bunyaviridae) in Europe

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Perspectives on Infectious Diseases, Volume 2009, Issue 1, 2009., 2009
Bhanja virus (BHAV) is pathogenic for young domestic ruminants and also for humans, causing fever and affections of the central nervous system. This generally neglected arbovirus of the family Bunyaviridae is transmitted by metastriate ticks of the genera Haemaphysalis, Dermacentor, Hyalomma, Rhipicephalus, Boophilus, and Amblyomma.

Detecting Forest Water‐Availability and Biomass Patterns Through a Retrospective Study in a Mediterranean Region

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Latent heat (λ $\lambda $ET) fluxes are a major component of the hydrological cycle globally. According to recent models and experimental observations, during droughts, wetter regions respond by increasing λ $\lambda $ET, while drier regions exhibit decreasing trends due to vegetation water stress.

Intra-individual variations of chromosomes and DNA content in meristems of adventitious roots ofOrnithogalum umbellatumL.

open access: yesCaryologia, 1994
SUMMARYThe 92 bulbs from a population of Ornithogalum umbellatum which is stable at 2n = 2x = 18, are characterized by a karyotype containing one pair of large metacentric chromosomes, five pairs of large telocentric chromosomes and three pairs of small submetacentric chromosomes; only, two meristematic root cells of one bulb show aneuploidy (2n = 19 ...

Phytochemical studies at the bulbs of Ornithogalum Umbellatum L.

open access: yes, 2002
Phytochemical examination of the bulbs of Ornithogalum umbellatum L. led to the isolation a new steroidal compound. Its structure was determined to be 3-O-(2'-methoxy-4'-(2-pentenal))-phenyl sitosterol (1) by spectroscopic data and chemical ...

ORNİTHOGALUM UMBELLATUM L. BİTKİSİNDEKİ FLAVONOİDLER

open access: yes, 2016
In this study, the flavonoids in Ornithogalum umbellatum L. grows around Edirne have been investigated. Ethanolic extracts of the plant were seperated and purificated by chromatographic techniques. The chemical structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated by UV, IR, NMR and EI and FAB mass spectroscopies.
