EsoCap is a unique drug in the form of a thin mucoadhesive film designed to target the oesophageal mucosa. In the ACESO trial, the mometasone furoate‐coated device (ESO‐101) was superior to placebo (uncoated EsoCap) in inducing remission in adults with active eosinophilic esophagitis. EsoCap was safe and well tolerated.
