Characterization of the Gamboa Virus Serogroup (Orthobunyavirus Genus, Peribunyaviridae Family) [PDF]
Comprehensive comparative phylogenetic analyses were performed on 17 Gamboa serogroup viruses (GAMSVs) from distinct geographic regions in the Americas and other representative members of the genus Orthobunyavirus (Peribunyaviridae), based on small (S), medium (M), and large (L) open reading frame full-length and partial sequences.

Partial genetic characterization of Sedlec virus (Orthobunyavirus, Bunyaviridae)
Sedlec virus (SEDV) was isolated from the blood of a reed warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus) in July 1984 in South Moravia, Czech Republic. In this study first genetic data of SEDV are presented which allow an estimate on its phylogenetic and taxonomic positioning within the genus Orthobunyavirus.

Mapping of transcription termination within the S segment of SFTS phlebovirus facilitated the generation of NSs-deletant viruses [PDF]
SFTS phlebovirus (severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus; SFTSV) is an emerging tick-borne bunyavirus that was first reported in China in 2009. Here we report the generation of a recombinant SFTSV (rHB29NSsKO) that cannot express the viral non-
