Protecting Medical Images Using a Zero-Watermarking Approach Based on Fractional Racah Moments

open access: yesIEEE Access
This article introduces a new family of orthogonal moments, the fractional Racah moments (FrROMs), developed to meet the demands of copyright protection for medical images, a field requiring robust and secure methods that preserve the integrity of the ...

Orthogonal Matrix Polynomials: Zeros and Blumenthal's Theorem

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 1996
In this paper the authors investigate orthogonal matrix polynomials \(P_n\) from their matrix three-term recurrence relation \[ tP_n(t)= D_{n+1} P_{n+1} (t)+E_n P_n(t)+ D^*_n P_{n-1}(t), \] where \(D_n\) and \(E_n\) are \(N\times N\) matrices. First, some results regarding the zeros of such matrix polynomials are given, then a quadrature formula is ...

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

Comparison of DeePMD, MTP, GAP, ACE and MACE Machine‐Learned Potentials for Radiation‐Damage Simulations: A User Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The authors evaluated six machine‐learned interatomic potentials for simulating threshold displacement energies and tritium diffusion in LiAlO2 essential for tritium production. Trained on the same density functional theory data and benchmarked against traditional models for accuracy, stability, displacement energies, and cost, Moment Tensor Potential ...

On the Collocation Method in Constructing a Solution to the Bending Equation for a Long Rectangular Nanoplate

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика"
Within the framework of the theory of microstructural deformation, a new approach is proposed for constructing a solution to the bending equation of a long rectangular nanoplate that is under the influence of a transverse load.

Interpretability and Representability of Commutative Algebra, Algebraic Topology, and Topological Spectral Theory for Real‐World Data

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

On the Hurwitz Stability of Hurwitz-Type Matrix Polynomials

open access: yesVisnik Harkivsʹkogo Nacionalʹnogo Universitetu im. V.N. Karazina. Cepiâ Matematika, Prikladna Matematika i Mehanika
A real scalar polynomial whose roots lie in the left half--plane of the complex plane is called a Hurwitz polynomial. This notion goes back to the works of J. C. Maxwell, E. J. Routh, and A.
