Matroidal Entropy Functions: A Quartet of Theories of Information, Matroid, Design, and Coding

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
In this paper, we study the entropy functions on extreme rays of the polymatroidal region which contain a matroid, i.e., matroidal entropy functions. We introduce variable strength orthogonal arrays indexed by a connected matroid M and positive integer v

Classification and monogamy of three-qubit biseparable Bell correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We strengthen the set of Bell-type inequalities presented by Sun & Fei [Phys. Rev. A 74, 032335 (2006)] that give a classification for biseparable correlations and entanglement in tripartite quantum systems.

Partition functions from orthogonal and symplectic group invariants

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Discrete Mathematics, 2017
We introduce a new class of graph parameters coming from invariants of the orthosymplectic group, which we call mixed partition functions. This class strictly contains partition functions of edge-coloring models and we give a characterization of this class by means of rank growth of associated connection matrices.

Predicting Epileptogenic Tubers in Patients With Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Using a Fusion Model Integrating Lesion Network Mapping and Machine Learning

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Accurate localization of epileptogenic tubers (ETs) in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is essential but challenging, as these tubers lack distinct pathological or genetic markers to differentiate them from other cortical tubers.

From orthosymplectic structure to super topological matter

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2023
Topological supermatter is given by ordinary topological matter constrained by supersymmetry or graded supergroups such as OSP(2N|2N). Using results on super oscillators and lattice QFTd, we construct a super tight binding model on hypercubic super ...

Seiberg-like duality in three dimensions for orthogonal gauge groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We propose a duality for N=2 d=3 Chern-Simons gauge theories with orthogonal gauge groups and matter in the vector representation. This duality generalizes level-rank duality for pure Chern-Simons gauge theories with orthogonal gauge groups and is ...

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

A Novel 64 QAM-OFDM Optical Access System Based on Bit Reconstruction

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
This paper proposes a novel orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) optical access scheme based on bit reconstruction. In this method, correlation is introduced into the data information of optical line terminals (OLT) through the logical ...

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.
