Projection theorems in hyperbolic space [PDF]
We establish Marstrand-type projection theorems for orthogonal projections along geodesics onto m-dimensional subspaces of the hyperbolic n-space by a geometric argument.

Metasurfaces and other structured photonic environments can dramatically modify the absorption and/or light emission of semiconductors. However, the consequences of these changes on the temperature of the system are not well understood. The authors address this problem for colloidal nanocrystals and leverage their findings to convert light into ...

This work explores the possibility to design stable periodic magnetization textures by transforming a 2D film into a rolled‐up 3D architecture and back. In case of an isotropic exchange‐biased layer architecture, the magnetization encoded in the 3D state evolves into a spin‐spiral pattern with controlled periodicity after unrolling.

Robust sparse principal component analysis. [PDF]
A method for principal component analysis is proposed that is sparse and robust at the same time. The sparsity delivers principal components that have loadings on a small number of variables, making them easier to interpret.

Self-Supervised Pansharpening Network Constrained by Orthogonal Space Projection Prior
Most existing deep learning-based pansharpening methods fail to accommodate the varying correlations between panchromatic (PAN) and multispectral (MS) images from different sensors, which can lead to poor generalization performance and a lack of ...

Top‐down organic pillaring expands the interlayer spacing of bulk‐sized MoS2 particles while preserving the bulk morphology. Operando X‐ray diffraction and electrochemical dilatometry show that MoS2‐bulk undergoes solvent co‐intercalation in diglyme electrolyte, causing large structural expansion, while pillared, expanded MoS2 suppresses solvent uptake

The D-optimal design of blocked and split-plot experiments with mixture components. [PDF]
So far, the optimal design of blocked and split-plot experiments involving mixture components has received scant attention. In this paper, an easy method to construct efficient blocked mixture experiments in the presence of fixed and/or random blocks is ...

Redox dual‐defects (Cs substitution and O vacancies) in 2D hydrated WO3 steer O2 activation toward selective singlet oxygen evolution. WO‐CO achieves 8.6–15.8 times higher 1O2 production than single‐defect or pristine catalysts, enabling efficient pollutant mineralization via a pathway‐selective photocatalytic mechanism.
