Pyoderma gangrenosum is a severe neutrophilic dermatosis that may occur as a complication following any kind of surgery. Although mainly reported secondary to breast surgery, it may also arise in orthopedic surgery. Misdiagnosis risks serious sequelae, due to inappropriate or delayed treatment.
