This study conducts a rigorous analysis of the moisture diffusion mechanism that undermines the adhesive layer of epoxy asphalt (EA) pavement on steel bridge decks, thereby fostering latent distresses. Furthermore, a novel and highly efficacious approach for detecting these concealed distresses is introduced.
