Resilin in Insect Flight Systems

The development of resilin‐based biomaterials for medical and industrial applications has been constantly advanced in recent years. Resilin is a rubber‐like protein that occurs in arthropod exoskeleton structures. In the insect flight system, its function depends on its overall location, protein sequence and mixture with stiffer exoskeleton components.
