Development of the Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) Metanephros [PDF]
Thirty-seven rabbit embryos at em- bryonic days (E) 10-30 were used to study the morphogenesis of the metanephros by light microscope. The primordium of the metanephros appears at E 12 within the pelvic cavity as a spherical ureteric bud capped by metanephrogenic tissue.

We conducted a survey across Slovakia to understand how hunters and conservationists perceive current management of the Eurasian lynx. We found broad consensus regarding the high intrinsic value of lynx in Slovak nature, the legal protection of lynx in Slovakia, low potential for conflict regarding livestock damages caused by lynx, and support for ...

Gastric Slow Wave Modelling Based on Stomach Morphology and Neuronal Firings [PDF]
Gastric content's mass and pH commonly assessed invasively using endoscopic biopsy, or semi-invasively using swallowable transducer. EGG (electrogastrography) is a technique for observing gastric myoelectrical activity non-invasively, that could be designed as mobile device.

Reactive oxygen species induce mutagenic DNA lesions, such as 8‐oxo‐2′‐deoxyguanosine (8‐oxodG), which acts as a template for dCMP and dAMP incorporation through its anti and syn conformations. Specific residues must regulate the fidelity of templated 8‐oxodG.

Single Channel Cutaneous Electrogastrography on Local White Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) and Its Electrogastrogram Classification Algorithm [PDF]
It has been a common practice to place electrodes based on external landmarks, rather than locating the appropriate organ first by imaging technuiqes such as CT scan, ultrasound, etc. Therefore, aside from abiding the cutaneous EGG (electrogastrography) electrodes placement rule, identification of its waveform should be performed to ease the validation

Wild rabbit management in the Iberian Peninsula: state of the art and future perspectives for Iberian lynx conservation [PDF]
The Iberian lynx, the most endangered cat in the world, is presently found only in two isolated populations in southern Spain. Natural expansion from these populations is limited which turns Iberian lynx reintroduction programs into the only alternative ...

Reproductive Barriers and Genomic Hotspots of Adaptation During Allopatric Species Divergence
ABSTRACT Theory predicts that in allopatric populations, genomic divergence and reproductive barriers may be driven by random genetic drift and thereby evolve slowly in large populations. However, local adaptation and divergence under selection may also play important roles, which remain poorly characterised.

Effect of Myxoma Virus Species Jump on Iberian Hare Populations
The myxoma virus species jump from European rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) to Iberian hares (Lepus granatensis) has raised concerns. We assess the decline suffered by Iberian hare populations on the Iberian Peninsula and discuss the association between

Single Channel Cutaneous Electrogastrography Parameters from Local White Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) [PDF]
EGG recordings performed on 13 local white rabbits (O. cuniculus) which divided into 3 groups; acetosal 35 mg/kgBM receiver, reserpine 37.5 mg/kgBM receiver, and control group. A total of 72 EGG recordings obtained from them, which divided furthermore into 9 datasets based on prepandrial state, postpandrial state, and post 1 hour drug administration ...
