Conditional oscillation of half-linear Euler-type dynamic equations on time scales
We investigate second-order half-linear Euler-type dynamic equations on time scales with positive periodic coefficients. We show that these equations are conditionally oscillatory, i.e., there exists a sharp borderline (a constant given by the ...

The heart rhythm is maintained by oscillatory changes in [Ca2+]. However, it has been suggested that the rapid drop in blood pressure that occurs with a slow decrease in [Ca2+] preceding early diastolic filling is related to the mechanism of rapid ...

Analysis and Suppression of Self-Excited Oscillations in Pressure Servo Valve System
In this paper, the phenomenon of pressure servo valve system self-excited oscillation is studied, the dynamic model of the system is established, and the validity of the model is verified by experimental analysis.

The cosmological constant and oscillating metrics [PDF]
The presence of a cosmological constant, Lambda, in an action with higher powers of the curvature can produce rapidly oscillating metrics. We develop a perturbative approach for generating periodic solutions to the non-linear field equations for such actions based on a small amplitude expansion.

Inducing self-motion illusions referred as vection are critical for improving the sensation of walking in virtual environments (VE). Adding viewpoint oscillations to a constant forward velocity in VE is effective for improving vection strength under ...

AC Oscillation of a Spin Soliton Driven by a Constant Force
The phenomena of AC oscillation generated by a DC drive, such as the famous Josephson AC effect in superconductors and Bloch oscillation in solid physics, are of great interest in physics.

Steering between Bloch oscillation and dipole oscillation in parabolic optical waveguide arrays [PDF]
We study the optical oscillations of supermodes in planar optical waveguide arrays with parabolically graded propagation constant in individual waveguide interacting through nearest neighbor couplings.

Linear and Non Linear Effects on the Newtonian Gravitational Constant as deduced from the Torsion Balance [PDF]
The Newtonian gravitational constant has still 150 parts per million of uncertainty. This paper examines the linear and nonlinear equations governing the rotational dynamics of the torsion gravitational balance.

High-frequency oscillations of Newton’s constant induced by inflation [PDF]
We examine the possibility that an epoch of inflationary expansion induces high-frequency oscillations of Newton's constant, $G$. The effect occurs because inflation can shift the expectation value of a non-minimally coupled, Brans-Dicke-like field away from the minimum of its effective potential.

An accurate determination of the Hubble constant from baryon acoustic oscillation datasets [PDF]
Even though the Hubble constant cannot be significantly determined just by the low-redshift Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) data, it can be tightly constrained once the high-redshift BAO data are combined.
