Nonlinear oscillators with constant time delay by

Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1956
Abstract A particular family of electronic oscillators uses an amplifier with a feedback path consisting of a network that provides constant time delay for any signal. Oscillation may occur when the total phase shift around the feedback loop is a multiple of 2π radians and the net amplification is unity. For a system composed of ideal elements ...

Stability of Linear Oscillating Systems With Constant Time Lag

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1949
Abstract This paper discusses the influence of constant time delay in transmission of the control signal upon the output system of a closed-cycle control device. The use of Nyquist’s stability criterion permits investigation of the control signal proportional to any derivative of the displacement.
