Sideband mode competition in a gyrotron oscillator

Physical Review Letters, 1992
We report the first observation of sideband mode competition in a gyrotron with an overmoded open waveguide resonator. Experiments were conducted in a gyrotron operating in the ${\mathrm{TE}}_{16,2}$ mode at 146 GHz. Up to 600 kW of power was generated in 3-\ensuremath{\mu}s pulses at 80 kV beam voltage and up to 40 A beam current.

P-Mode Oscillations of α Cen A

Astrophysics and Space Science, 2003
Models of α Cen A & B have been computed using the masses determined by Pourbaix et al. (2002) and the data derived from the spectroscopic analysis of Neuforge and Magain (1997). The seismological data obtained by Bouchy and Carrier (2001, 2002) do help improve our knowledge of the evolutionary status of the system.

Multiple modes of a conditional neural oscillator

Biological Cybernetics, 1990
We present a model for a conditional bursting neuron consisting of five conductances: Hodgkin-Huxley type time- and voltage-dependent Na+ and K+ conductances, a calcium activated voltage-dependent K+ conductance, a calcium-inhibited time- and voltage-dependent Ca++ conductance, and a leakage Cl- conductance. With an initial set of parameters (version S)

Characteristics of an Nd:CaLaSOAP mode-locked oscillator

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1973
Neodymium doped CaLaSOAP has properties intermediate between Nd:YAG and Nd:Glass that make it desirable for use as a pulsed-mode-locked oscillator at 1.06 µ. Time resolve spectroscopy, high speed image converter streak recordings, and two photon flourescence pulse duration measurements were used to investigate the output of such a laser. Pulse duration

Existence of Proper Modes of Helicon Oscillations

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1965
In this paper it is shown that the class of electromagnetic problems for which the operator i(∂/∂t) (where t denotes time) is self-adjoint extends beyond problems involving only insulators and perfect conductors. The class includes problems in which the perfect conductor is generalized to a medium with antisymmetric resistivity tensor.
