Analysis of Reactance Oscillators Having Multi-Mode Oscillations
IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2006We consider oscillators consisting of a reactance circuit and a negative resistor. They may happen to have multi-mode oscillations around the anti-resonant frequencies of the reactance circuit. This kind of oscillators can be easily synthesized by setting the resonant and anti-resonant frequencies of the reactance circuits.

Selection of the Oscillation Mode in Multi-Mode Oscillators by Initializing the Cavity Signal
IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 2019We demonstrate a new method to select the oscillation mode in multi-mode oscillators with an instantaneous gain saturation. The method is based on initializing the cavity signal by feeding into the cavity an external signal for a duration that can be as short as the cavity delay.

OSCILLATION MODES OF SUPERSONIC MULTI-JET
NOISE CONTROL - THE NEXT 25 YEARS, 1997In this paper, oscillation modes of single jet, twin jet, and multijet with square configuration were investigated by using optical and acoustical observations. In the case of a single jet, axisymmetrical, helical, and lateral oscillation modes appeared with increasing pressure ratio of the jet.

Bursting Oscillations and Mixed-Mode Oscillations in Driven Liénard System
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2017We report the existence of bursting oscillations and mixed-mode oscillations in a Liénard system when it is driven externally by a sinusoidal force. The bursting oscillations transit from a periodic phase to spiking trains through chaotic windows, as the control parameter is varied.

The Study of a Dual-Mode Ring Oscillator
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2011An analytical investigation of a dual-mode ring oscillator is presented. The ring oscillator is designed using a CMOS 0.18-μm technology with differential eight-stage delay cells employing auxiliary input devices. With a proper startup control, the oscillator operates in two different modes covering two different frequency bands.

Electronegative nonlinear oscillating modes in plasmas
Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation, 2018Abstract The emergence of nonlinear modulated waves is addressed in an unmagnetized electronegative plasma made of Boltzmann electrons, Boltzmann negative ions and cold mobile positive ions. The reductive perturbation method is used to reduce the dynamics of the whole system to a cubic nonlinear Schrodinger equation, whose the nonlinear and ...

Modes of oscillation of a grounded grid cyclotron oscillator
Radio and Electronic Engineer, 1964A linear analysis of a grounded-grid cyclotron oscillator considering the effect of all the important circuit elements is presented. It is shown that the oscillator may execute oscillations at one of the cyclotron-dee resonant frequencies and/or at one of the coupling transmission line frequencies. The conditions of excitation of these oscillations are

On the oscillation mode of gas-filled micropores
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1985Small pores in hydrophobic membranes trap gas when the membrane is immersed in aqueous media, and the resulting ‘‘gas bodies’’ may be used for studying biophysical effects of ultrasonic cavitation. Mixed-Mode Oscillation Synchronization in Coupled Oscillators
2021Numerous important physical and engineering systems exhibit coupled oscillators connected in such a way that energy can be transferred between them. Then there are interactions amongst the different oscillating components of a given system. For instance, atoms oscillate around their equilibrium positions, and the interaction between atoms is ...
